NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Safety & Health (NGC)
The NEBOSH General Certificate was launched in 1989 and is now held by over 150,000 people in the UK and elsewhere. This is the foundation qualification for UK Safety Practitioners such as Health and Safety Managers, Officers, Trainers and Consultants. NEBOSH is the required qualification for Safety roles Salary :£30-100K being required in 66% of job advertisements. The NGC is a Globally recognised qualification. The qualification course takes 80 guided learning hours - supported by qualified NEBOSH Tutor.

NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC)
The IGC is virtually identical in format to the NGC except that it is non-country specific (unless tailored to a territory) based on ILO standards and does not cover UK legislation. It is specifically designed to provide an international foundation qualification for International Safety Practitioners who intend to follow on with the NEBOSH International Diploma.
The International General Certificate qualification meets the academic requirements for Technician Membership (Tech IOSH) of Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) and Associate membership (AIIRSM) of the International Institute of Risk and Safety Management (IIRSM).

NEBOSH Environmental Certificate
The NEBOSH National Certificate in Environmental Management provides a good overview of environmental management systems, including the relevant legal requirements in the UK for control of environmental hazards. It is suitable for:

Examinations
NEBOSH Exams consist of 2 x 2 hour written papers and a Practical Risk Assessment which take place in exam centres across the UK and in candidates workplace (NGC3) - NGC NEBOSH fees are £100 per exam sitting plus any centre fee (by arrangement)
